Say what you will about Halo 5 overall, but if there’s one thing Microsoft and 343 did not screw around on, it was putting together a roster of very talented concept artists to work on the game.
The end result is mixed—I think the last two Halos have suffered visually from a confused identity, torn between Bungie’s legacy and newer designs—but individually, these are some impressive pieces of work.
Below you’ll find a collection of images showcasing some of the concept art behind Halo 5. It doesn’t cover every artist, but it’ll give you a general idea of the themes and work behind one of the biggest games of the year.
