The Oakland branch of the Occupy movement is moving off the streets and into an abandoned building later this week. In doing so, they get facilities like kitchens, meeting rooms, etc. All that's missing is an arcade machine.
So Anna Anthropy wants to build them one. It'll run on batteries, move on wheels and should end up as part of the Winnitron Indie Game Arcade Network, meaning it'll play all kinds of awesome indie games.

The machine is to be called the OAK-U-TRON 201X, and contributors to the project's Kickstarter-esque funding campaign will get stuff like coffee table books and, awesomely, their "name etched onto a metal plaque BY A LASER BEAM and bolted to the OAK-U-TRON 201X!!!!!!!"
