It's the first Monday of 2011 and Nintendo is ready to take on the new year with five new downloadable games, including Chillingo's colorful Sneezies for WiiWare and a little indie cred on the DSi.
The brightest on WiiWare this week looks to be Sneezies, a Chillingo title that sees players dropping sneezing powder on colorful trapped Sneezies, causing the little buggers to free themselves from their bubble prison with explosive nasal action. It's bright and bubbly, with 45 Classic Mode and 15 Challenge Mode levels to keep players' noses running all day long.
Then we've got a real treat on DSiWare in Sabarasa‘s Alt-Play: Jason Rohrer Anthology. The title collections three popular indie games from noted computer programmer, writer, musician, and game designer Jason Rohrer. The three simple yet satisfying titles include Passage, Gravitation and Between, the winner of the Innovation Award at the 2009 Independent Games Festival.
If publishers like Sabarasa can continue to bring satisfying indie games to the Nintendo DSi, I might actually need to invest in a larger SD memory card.
