The next season of the Pokémon anime is going to be a Netflix-exclusive in the U.S. The first 12 episodes of Pokémon Journeys will debut on June 12, with the rest getting added quarterly. Ash and Pikachu remain the stars, but the two will be visiting multiple regions and meeting new characters.

So they won’t air this thing weekly, like it presumably does in Japan? Of course they won’t.

Also: I remember watching a video somewhere that compared the original audio with the dubbed version, and I was surprised to find out that the music and sound effects had changed drastically, not just the spoken language.

Is this still the case? If so, is it possible to legally watch a subtitled version of the original version of the show?
