The Most Unusual Hospital I've Ever Seen

In my life, for one reason or another, I've been to quite a few hospitals. I've never seen anything like this. Anywhere.

As pointed out by IT Media and Syounan Life, this is the Edogawa Hospital in Tokyo. And this hospital looks like fun—but that's the point. The poppy, colorful, and playful decor is supposed to erase the cold, sterile image people have of hospitals.

But once you get closer, you start to see these murals, and realize that this hospital is quite different.

Then, there's the lobby. You can't see because of the plant, but there's a painting of Hulk Hogan in the background.

The hospital floor map is designed to look like a treasure map.

Here, have a look at this video tour:

While this might look like a children's hospital, it's not. It handles internal medicine, cardiology, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, pediatrics, among others. Surgery is performed here, and there's an MRI machine that has an elephant on it (top photo).
