This year had no shortage AAA releases. But it also had plenty of games where we held them and said, like a saddened parent, no we don't hate you, we're just ... disappointed in you.

Wired's writers came up with a list of ten and I'm not surprised to see any of them on this list, even Dead Space, which I touted relentlessly in the run-up to its release. Truth is, I never heard anything to make me overcome my fear of it. Naturally, the write-up beats on Too Human some more, and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed should have been number one on this list, in my opinion. What was? What else should have been? I really disagree with MK Wii on the list. I think the new version has 32 tracks, not to mention the best online experience on the Wii.

As for the wheel, Wired view of it is definitely, as they would put it, "expired." I have never seen the online game community do such a double take as with the Wii Wheel. Initially, it was a backlash that controlling the game with the nunchuck was the way to go, as it was easier.

However, the online community quickly flip-flopped, and now you really only have street cred on MK Wii if you DO use the wheel. I love that this happened, and the game is much better for it.
