The last time we saw Let It Die, the upcoming PS4 title from No More Heroes creator Goichi Suda, was back in 2014. Here’s the latest look, which has more protective headgear than the previous trailer.

Originally from Texas, Ashcraft has called Osaka home since 2001. He has authored six books, including most recently, The Japanese Sake Bible.

I’m always interested in seeing how Suda’s games turn out, but something about this one seems... I don’t know, un-Suda-ish? The style is there in bits and pieces, but even then it feels muted, almost. As in, the colors and over-the-top nature and character designs feel far more ‘real’ than previous Grasshopper games. I’m sure it’ll still be nuts; just doesn’t feel that way from the information we’ve been given.

Granted, we haven’t seen much of the game, and I’ll hold out hope that it’s still got that Suda edge to it. Just feels difficult to be excited for this one right now. Though I’ll be the first to admit that’s probably because the even shorter teaser for Lily Bergamo seemed so much more interesting (plus that art style was gorgeous, IMO), and Let It Die has yet to really grab my attention, from the few times it’s been brought up.
