The Horror of Custom Figurines

Kotaku EastEast is your slice of Asian internet culture, bringing you the latest talking points from Japan, Korea, China and beyond. Tune in every morning from 4am to 8am.

While the idea of a customized action figure seems badass, a Japanese television programmed inadvertently depicted the horrifying reality. Eek!

This is the work of Akihabara establishment Clone Factory. The studio measures and photographs your head, inputs the digital data, and then uses a 3D printer to reproduce your mug in miniature figure form

That's all fine and dandy—and I still think it's pretty darn cool! However, Clone Factory should never ever show anyone freshly printed, bald doll heads—on television or in real life.
