This morning I shared with you the creation of Susan, my first female Pandaren Monk in the World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria beta test. Unfortunately she died.
But don't fret, she can and has been replaced with Stacy, a much better Pandaren Monk. Join Stacy and I as we roll our way through the Monk starting experience, learning, loving, and running screaming from primates.
The experience hasn't changed much since I first played the class at BlizzCon 2011. Aside from the increased levels of estrogen (pandas have estrogen, right?) and some incredibly joyous pigtails, the core difference is that the light chi / dark chi mechanic shown at the convention has been replaced with a single chi bar, making the class play a bit more like a Rogue.
I preferred it the other way, but I'm an MMO veteran. From the looks of things I'm not World of Warcraft's primary demographic anymore. Fortunately I'm a Red Panda fan, so I'll survive.
Please excuse the quality of this initial vid. A much clearer version is on the way. (And now it's here!)
