The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ releases January 3rd on Steam. This DLC includes mod support, as well as new items, bosses, and rooms. Console versions will be coming in the spring.
While it’s super cool that The Binding of Isaac keeps getting new expansions and content this far from release, I’m starting to get the feeling that Edmund might be using it as a crutch.
Mew-Genics is all but dead, who knows when Øuroboros is actually coming, and Legend of Bumbo is a BoI spinoff (I’m not even going to mention SMB Forever, it’s easily years away, if it ever gets done). It’s awesome that Isaac is super popular and profitable, but it’s success seems to be keeping McMillen from doing other things. Unless, of course, this is exactly what he wants to do...if that’s the case, carry on.
