The first downloadable album for The Beatles: Rock Band hits this week, with the remainder of Abbey Road allowing fans to play the entire 16 minute B-side medley all at once.
The Abbey Road Complete the Album pack hits Xbox Live, the PlayStation Network, and the Wii this week, finishing off what "Come Together," "something," "Octopus's Garden," "Here Comes the Sun," and "The End" started. Each of those tunes was available with the full game, and now the rest of the music comes strolling along in one giant pack, priced at $16.99 or 1260 Microsoft points. The pack consists of four individual tracks - "Maxwell's Silver Hammer," "Oh! Darling," "Because," and "Her Majesty" - along with the entire B-side of the album, which consisted of a 16 minute medley compromised of "You Never Give Me Your Money," "Sun King," "Mean Mr. Mustard," "Polythene Pam," "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window," "Golden Slumbers," "Carry That Weight" and "The End." In addition to the full medley, the B-side songs can also be played in 1-3 song sets, depending on how they were recorded.
The price is a bit steep, but I'd really love to play through that entire medley at least once. Perhaps it's finally time for me to invest in a massive amount of downloadable Rock Band content.
