Blade Runner 2049 is one of the prettiest movies you’ll ever see, so it’s a pleasure to share some of the concept art that went into the film’s creation.
I know, we normally do video game stuff here, but we did Ghost in the Shell (and Blade Runner’s animated prequel), so indulge me. And besides, it’s Blade Runner 2049, come on.
The pieces you’re seeing below are by artists Jon McCoy, George Hull, Emmanuel Shiu, Jeremy Paillotin, Mike Hill, Dan Baker, Madhav Kumar and Victor Martinez. Note this is just an early release of art; I’ll be adding to this as more folks are cleared to release their contributions publicly.

Fine Art is a celebration of the work of video game artists, showcasing the best of both their professional and personal portfolios. If you’re in the business and have some concept, environment, promotional or character art you’d like to share, get in touch!

DISCUSSION
It wasn’t a perfect movie (what is?), but I liked it well enough I’m bummed we’re probably not getting a sequel (based on box office numbers). Maybe in another 35 years*...
*(offer void if I’m dead by the time they make another one.)
