The $100 Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Collector's Edition Is Worth Every Penny

With two different intricately-detailed, creepy cool jack-in-the-box collectibles packed inside the collector's edition of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, the question isn't if you should buy it, but where.

The collector's edition for Assassin's Creed II, with its lovely tin and Ezio action figure, was quite a nice little package, but Ubisoft has outdone itself with the CE for Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. I need an Assassin's Creed jack-in-the-box like I've never needed anything else, and $100 seems a fair price to pay to secure one. I just need to figure out if I want the Harlequin, which is a GameStop exclusive, or the Doctor, which comes packaged in every other retailer's version.

In case the jack-in-the-box wasn't enough, the collector's edition also comes packaged with an art book, two exclusive in-game maps, a hard copy map of Rome, and a bonus disc containing a making-of video, a sneak-peek at the comic book, trailers, and the game's soundtrack.

Help me decide! Do I go Doctor, or do I go Harlequin?

I'm passing on the collectors edition this time around. I bought it for AC2 just for the extra content.

Then what does ubisoft do, they turn around and make that content DLC. It's no longer a collectors edition in my eyes.

I can care less about statues and trinkets. It's the extra content that gets me and AC2 was the second $100 CE game I've bought in the last year. Batman: Arkham Asylum was the other game I'm refering to.

I usually cap out at about $10 extra, $20 is pushing it. These were the only ones I ever shelled out that much money for and then they go and make all that "Exclusive" CE content available to everyone.

Fuck that shit!!

I already hate the way they entice me with exclusive content in these CE to make me pay inflated prices for it. I'd much rather have it offered as DLC.

I can wait this time for the content to arrive as DLC, even if it's a year late. I'll save a lot of money that way!
