Crafty Team Fortress Players Have Made Ten Million Dollars

Over 400 "contributors and partners" have been paid over ten million dollars for their creations ever since Valve started letting fans design - and sell - Team Fortress 2 gear.

In highlighting the sum, Valve pays particular attention to the users behind the recent Robotic Boogaloo update, which was made by around sixty fans and raked in over $250,000.

Valve takes a 15% cut of every item it sells in the game, meaning that the company has made a solid $1.5 million profit of that $10 mil, just by selling items it didn't even make.

Clearly, I am in the wrong line of work.
