Be careful! As an elementary school teacher in her twenties found out, people do steal things at Japanese game centers. And sometimes it's worse than money.
The teacher's purse contained her class register, and that contained personal information about the students such as their names, personal info and a class photo. She is in charge of 34 second graders at Kandaiji Elementary in Yokohama. In Japan, teachers are prohibited from taking things like official documents outside school grounds.
At around 10pm, the teacher stopped by a game center near Kawasaki Station. She put her purse down while, we assume, getting into whatever game she was playing, and within the span of 15 minutes, her purse was gone.
The teacher has apologized, saying, "I feel truly awful about what happened."
