Like we said, going by Kmart’s retail system, it looks likely the PS2 is about to drop to the mythical $99 price point. This catalogue scan only makes it seem more likely.

Taken from next week’s Target catalogue, you can see it right there, at $99. And for those still clinging to the prospect of a PS3 price cut, as you can see, it’s going nowhere, and remains priced at $400 (though Target are at least throwing a couple of free games in with it).
Is this Sony’s announcement? If so, that’s… well, kinda disappointing.
