After a bit more time with Uncharted 3 (I'm on the second to last level) my opinion of the game is slightly higher, though I still feel it's weaker than Uncharted 2 and perhaps even the original (though I'm basing this off somewhat fuzzy memories).

I have to say though, I'm very surprised it received the amount of praise it did given the amount of QTE-esque moments the game throws at you. The repetitive hand-to-hand combat that you're forced into every now and then, the countless "chase" sequences (seriously, there have been like ten of these), scripted/timed jumps, etc.

As much criticism as some other games must endure for being "interactive movies" it seems as though that's become a selling point for Uncharted. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game, but I feel like some rather noteworthy flaws had largely been glossed over due to the hype. Or, if not flaws, then elements that many other games would have been picked apart for.

Unless the ending completely blows me away then I think Uncharted 2 will remain the high point of the series for me.
