Talk Amongst Yourselves

Playing video games can be a lot like summer love. You see a game from afar and from that moment on it must be yours. Once you get your hands on it you never want to put it down. You could stay up all night because you can't bear to spend one moment apart, but you can't keep that up forever. Every once in awhile you need to slow down and talk about your feelings. Your feelings about video games.

So there's a couple of really awesome games coming out later in the year...but let's just say you could only afford to make one purchase (Let's ignore months and just say all of 2011 is available tomorrow)... what would your purchase be?

Personally, I'd be torn between Skyrim, Saints, and Gears.

Skyrim would have some epic/long single player campaign that would steal many hours of my time...

But Saints and Gears (while having single player games) both will have multiplayer components (Co Op for Saints, Full Fledged Multiplayer in Gears) that would extend the life... plus, my best friend is also getting those games and we always play together.

I'd say I would probably go with Gears only because of friends, Horde 2.0, and I am interested to see the story concluded....plus epic hilariousness of multiplayer shenanigans.

But what about you, Kotakuites?

One game for the rest of the year, what would it be?

Edit: I don't know why I capitalized "Full Fledged Multiplayer"...so just run with it.
