The company that gave the world Mario, Link, and Samus is the undisputed champ of the modern console war, with nearly 150 million Switches sold since 2017. But now, speculation is rampant about the company's next console, rumored to launch in 2025.

Starting November 24, Nintendo will sell Wii U GamePads as stand-alones. Only one GamePad can be used per console, so that hasn’t changed, but if you need a spare, you can get one for 12,800 yen (US$104). No word yet about similar offers outside Japan.

Lottie from Animal Crossing joins the Amiibo army today. She’s a Target exclusive in the States (Best Buy in Canada). I know this because I am a well-informed member of the gaming press, and not because I was at Target when they opened this morning, dammit.

The Megaman Legacy Collection is coming out for the Nintendo 3DS on February 23, 2016, Nintendo announced during its Nintendo Direct livestream this evening. They’re releasing a rad-looking gold Megaman amiibo with it too!

Mother 3 is coming to the Wii U Virtual Console in Japan on December 17, Nintendo announced today. That same day, Nintendo is also releasing a Lucas Amiibo in the country.

Nintendo just announced Pokemon Picross. It’s a “free to start” downloadable 3DS game with a purchasable currency called Picrites. You can capture Pokemon by playing Picross and use their support skills to help you. It’s coming to the 3DS eShop in early December.
