Sometimes, Nintendo just randomly throws up a “Nintendo Direct Micro” and announces a bunch of new 3DS games for North America, including Bravely Second, Dr. Mario, and Chibi-Robo. Because Nintendo likes surprises.
In the 17-minute video, hosted by Bill Trinen and published out of nowhere this morning, Nintendo announced Chibi-Robo: Zip Lash (for 3DS this October), Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure (June 11), and a US localization of Bravely Second (2016). There’s a Chibi-Robo amiibo coming, too.
Other highlights from the video include a free new weapon and map for Splatoon (launching tonight), a trailer for the upcoming co-op game Project Treasure, and the announcement of Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, for both 3DS and Wii U.
