Street Fighter V won’t have an in-depth story mode when it launches on February 16, but Capcom’s announced a “cinematic expansion” coming next June for free. It’ll apparently go “deep” into the series’ mythology, taking place between the events of Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter III.

Hmmm... the age old release an unfinished game now and patch in contents later move huh? Sony has done this several times this gen, this is not good.

For legacy purposes, I’d like my games to be final when pressed in the disc. 10 years from now, when my PS4 finally dies, I’d like my game final and to work off the disc. What happens in the future when Sony and Capcom no longer offer patches online? This game will be forever incomplete that way.
