If you are somebody, and you visit Nintendo’s New York offices from out of town, you get your very own greeting in the lobby, running on a flat-screen TV.

I’ve never seen this at a game company before. Horii is the creator of Dragon Quest, including Dragon Quest IX. The other two gentlemen on his sign are producers for the series at publisher Square-Enix.

Bill Trinen is a longtime Nintendo employee most often seen in public translating for Shigeru Miyamoto.

Maybe we should have a sign like this whenever Crecente visits the New York office.

I shot these on Friday in the Nintendo New York office, the same office where I interviewed Horii and from which I Tweeted that I ate some fruit from a platter in the Nintendo lobby. Sorry, no pictures of that fruit which some of you requested.
