Final Fantasy Agito is dead. It’s no more. In its place, Square Enix is launching a new online game in its place: Final Fantasy Type-0.

Currently in development, the game is aimed for global players (unlike the Japan-centric Final Fantasy Agito), and there will be a beta test in China. The hack-and-slash will launch sometime between spring and summer of next year.

Today, the game was announced for smartphones, and according to Japanese sites like 4Gamer, it’s also headed for PC.
