DMC5's Secret Ending

Sorry, Dante. We bagged this one. If you defeat the evil demon Urizen in Devil May Cry 5's prologue, you get a humorous alternate ending. In this clip, I waste time doing airborne tricks and save the day without a hitch. That said: spoilers, y’all.

Normally, players are meant to get their butts handed to them by Urizen at the start of Devil May Cry 5. It’s key to the plot: Nero gets beat up and Dante goes missing. After that, Nero heads back one month later to try to settle the score and rescue his friends. But the fight itself is tricky without upgrades. Your health pool is small, moveset limited, and Nero doesn’t have any of his special Devil Breakers yet.

While it’s possible to defeat Urizen then—and unlock the difficult Dante Must Die mode in the process, most players will return after finishing the game and unlocking tons of skills. Smash Urizen’s face in and you’ll get an ending where everyone lives happily ever after. The tone is firmly tongue in cheek and a fun reward for players who manage to tough it out and get some revenge.
