Sony’s announcement of HDR support for the original PS4 yesterday even surprised some developers. The team behind The Witness didn’t know it was coming, as they explain in a post about PS4 Pro upgrades coming to the game.

They should’ve just called it Playstation 4K.

4K seemthe main difference between the two. That and the better GPU power but I expect the extra GPU power to be used in the extra resolution and not in frame rate.

Now I don’t feel so bad for having an amateur PS4.

Update: Apparently while some games won’t have several frame rates, Sony is leaving that to the developers. They can do any change they want, as long as its visual.
