Ding, dong, Vine is dead at the hands of its owner, Twitter. In the next few months, the four-year-old video service will be discontinued, it announced today. Luckily, everyone’s Vines—including ours—will stay up for the foreseeable future.

Update—1/17/17: Twitter officially shutters Vine today and will replace it with Vine Camera. Users can still get make 6-second video loops, but they won’t be hosted on a Vine platform. Original article below:
