While Britain is in the grip of Wii fever at the moment, it's not the first time the nation has gone mad for a games console. So you can imagine console ownership rates are high.
And they...are? We think. Can't be sure, since there aren't many comparable statistics like this, but it sounds high, so we'll press on. According to a study conducted late last year by Harris Interactive, 23% of British households own a games console. That's not necessarily a new console, just a console. Which is around one in four.
Doesn't sound like a lot, but imagine every house in Britain - rich, poor, families, old folks, people who care about games, people who couldn't give a rat's arse - and it looks a bit more impressive.
