As it has for the past two weeks, Square Enix's latest Dragon Quest spin-off has slimed its way to the top of Japan's video game charts. This week, it becomes the latest Nintendo DS game to sell a million units.

Similarly, portable stealth action game Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker spends its third week in second place, still a steady stream of Snakes making their way into the hands of Japanese gamers. The rest of the top ten is mostly Wii and PlayStation 3 games, with New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Nier Replicant and Super Street Fighter IV representing each platform.

Don't expect to see too many new faces in this relatively slow week, but keep an eye peeled for the debuts of Metro 2033 and FIFA 2010's World Cup game.

Y'know, the only Dragon Quest game I've ever liked was a spin-off too... Rocket Slime. Damn was that game fun. I love blasting huge tanks with random shit (especially enemies).

And is that seriously New Super Mario Bros still in the top 20? Holy crazy crap, that is INsane. Great game, but... doesn't everyone in history have a copy at this point?

I mean seriously, I saw Genghis Khan the other day and I says to him, I says, "Hey Genghis... how's NSMB treating you?"

And he said something crazy in some weird language, so I left him alone. I can only presume it meant he loved it, though.
