Courtesy of Nintendo, let's take a look at the thirty top-selling games in the United States so far this year. As a bonus, we'll look at the top 30 from Europe, too.

These figures, covering January 1 to March 31, were part of Nintendo's recent fiscal results report, and while they're not as handy as hard, internal sales figures - Europe's is a projection based on select data, for example - they're still fairly comprehensive, and definitely worth a closer look.

What I find most interesting are the cases where the world's two biggest markets just don't see eye-to-eye. Note that MAG and Dante's Inferno aren't on the European charts at all, while Heavy Rain - which came 10th in Europe - can only come in 22nd in the United States.

Kudos to them for the presence of New Super Mario Bros and Mario Kart DS on the chart. Not only are these great games, but they are old and apparently still in enough demand to compete with the best of them.
