Sonic the Hedgehog will be a busy mascot in 2010, with Sonic Colors and Sonic the Hedgehog 4 coming to consoles. Sega may have another Sonic-starring game in store, Sonic Free Riders for Microsoft's Project Natal.
Joystiq cites an anonymous source in naming Sonic Free Riders as an Xbox Live Arcade game that's played with the Xbox 360 camera controller, slated for launch later this year. While details are scarce beyond a title, it sure sounds like a sequel or remake of hoverboard racing game Sonic Riders, the GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC game from 2006.
Sonic and his lovely gang of furry pals are reportedly controlled by body movement, sounding similar in style to Harmonix's PlayStation 2 game EyeToy: Antigrav. Hey, the more Sonic games the better, right?!
