The skies over the PlayStation Network get a bit more dangerous today, as Sierra Online releases Red Baron Arcade, an action-oriented remake of the classic PC combat title.
Voted the 4th best PC game of all time by Computer Gaming World in 1996, the PC version of Red Baron was World War I air combat simulation that earned big points for its realistic flight effects and historical accuracy. The new version, much to Luke and I's chagrin, is an arcade shooter that pits you against swarms of enemy fighters as you work your way up through the ranks of the Red Baron's squadron. Once you've had your fun with single-player mode, take to the skies in one of 20 classic WWI aircraft in Deathmatch, Team-Deathmatch, and Capture the Flag matches against up to 7 other players.
Sounds like it could be fun, but with Ubisoft recently releasing Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X., I'm a bit busy with more modern dog-fighting to take a trip back in time right now.
