Last week, Oakland white elephant wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey was revealed to have missed at least four straight practices because of "fatigue." His Madden NFL 11 rating has suffered accordingly - a 9-point stamina drop in the latest update.
Most of the adjustments in the latest update, free for download, range between 2 and 3 points in a single attribute, and 1 and 2 in the overall rating. Heyward-Bey plunged from an 88 in stamina to a 79.
I'm not sure what the in-game effect of that is, especially if your substitutions are handled automatically. But it's hilarious, and it shows that EA Sports is always watching.
There are tons more personnel changes in the latest roster file, which you can grab online now (it's not an automatic download.) Note that this is not the same as a patch; that one, when it arrives, will bring back the old-school pre-snap command keys. It's due by the beginning of the NFL season, which kicks off Thursday, Sept. 9.
