Today was the first day that Cologne's Gamescom was open to the public. Mike and I stood around near the entrance to see what those crowds would look like. It was fairly impressive, but not as massive as I had expected.
After watching or a few minutes I headed down the avenue-wide marble halls of the convention center on my way to the off-limits-to-the-public "business areas." Turning a corner I found myself facing a wall of people walking, loping, running toward me, the crowds behind them streaming off past the point where I could see.
Apparently, the convention center was letting people in from two entrances. Keep in mind today is a Thursday. I can't even imagine what Saturday will be like.
