Now here's an idea I'm glad someone had: An iPhone game where you're the star of a branching interactive spy radio-drama, complete with sound effects and voice acting.
That's the idea behind Codename Cygnus, an in-development game from Reactive Studios that'll let players act out the part of the main character in an episodic spy drama.
(Full disclosure: I'm friends with a couple of the people tangentially involved in this project, though I hadn't heard anything about it until today.)
The game is now up on Kickstarter, as they're hoping to raise enough money to get their first episode recorded and released this summer. Here's Reactive's Jonathan Myers making his pitch for the game:

I love this idea. The only thing I don't love is the name, because it's hard to remember and I'm not sure what the heck it means. But man... maybe it's the No One Lives Forever kick I've been on, or maybe it's that I'm finally playing Alpha Protocol, but pretty much all I want to do these days is play video games about spies.
