Atlus just announced the drop date for Persona 5. The game will be out in Japan on September 15. As of writing, the Western release date, however, still hasn’t yet been revealed.

Persona 5 was first announced in 2013 and then slated for release the following year on the PS3. Then, in 2014, it was announced that the game was coming to the PS3 and the PS4 in 2015. But, during the 2015 Tokyo Game Show, Altus announced that the game had been delayed to summer 2016.

Phew, and now we have a concrete release date. At least, for Japan.

2 weeks before FF15? That’s pretty bold.

I hope that we get a winter release date in the west. I know there is usually a longer period but fingers crossed that the localization process is further along than it was for Persona 4, etc.
