The Nintendo 3DS comes from a long line of handheld game systems of a mostly refined pedigree. We thought it would be fun to line them all up for a little size comparison. (And we threw in an iPhone 4 for reference.)
I'm not a terribly big fan of the paint scheme on our office 3DS—it looks like Nintendo melted down a bunch of cheap fishing lures and stuck a screen on it—but the form factor is growing on me. At first it felt like a Nintendo DS Lite with different screens and knobs and bits glued on, but the more I use the 3DS the more it feels comfortable.
