Faux rockers Spinal Tap are releasing Back From The Dead on June 16th and Harmonix is on point, with three songs from the new album hitting Rock Band next week, along with a little Evanescence.
"Back from the Dead," Rock ‘n' Roll Nightmare" and "Warmer Than Hell" comprise three of the four tracks in the Spinal Tap Pack, along with "Saucy Jack", a song about Jack the Ripper previously only available on the band's website. The pack is promoting the new combination album and DVD release, which will be punctuated by a live reunion concert at London's Wembley Arena on June 30. Bassist Derek Smalls comments on the track pack.
"Tap has always gone where the audience is. We hope this time the audience reciprocates. Whatever that means."
For those of you who take your music a little more seriously, next week also sees the release of the Evanescence Track Pack, featuring two songs from The Open Door - "Call Me When You're Sober" and "Weight of the World" - along with their smash hit "Bring Me To Life", which is one of those songs you just assume was already in Rock Band.
Both packs will be available on June 16th for the Xbox 360 and June 18th for the PlayStation 3.
Somehow I got through this entire post without making a "goes to 11" reference. I think I deserve pizza.
