It's been quiet when it's come to updates on the somewhat controversial reboot of Capcom's demon-hunting franchise. But, the Japanese publisher just released a batch on new screens showing the darker-haired Dante in action. Yes, he's throwing down against the usual assortment of creepy demons in the game's locale of Limbo City. But, if you look closely, you'll also see the environment itself changing shape to attack him. Also in evidence are the glowy jacket effect and white hair when he activates his Devil Trigger. Let's just hope the world doesn't do that whole trying-to-attack-you thing during the game's platforming sections. That would be… annoying. One last thing: there's a disturbing lack of guns in these screens. Emo Dante better have some pistols to bang-bang, Capcom. The mix of sword-swinging and gun-shooting is essential for my DmC enjoyment. I needs it.
Seriously Evan? You're gonna go with the Emo Dante joke as well? And quiet around the updates? Unless I missed the article, or the video got taken down, I posted a link to what I assume is a new trailer on the tips section. Dante looks exactly like the one they had in that picture with the angels so all of you complaining he looks like Edward can now calm down as they actually redesigned him somewhat. If you're honestly complaining that the game doesn't have tom cruise hair dante give it time. From what I see in the trailers, Dante will most likely end up with white hair. If anything his style is old school punk rock anyways, emo is just a statement whenever somebody has even a slight dark mood appearance. Just because 90% of the kids in your high school wear Hot Topic and prance around with black make-up, it doesn't mean that anybody with dark clothing is automatically emo.
But everybody finds the need to bitch about something. Watch the newest trailer and try to argue with me that the gameplay is radically different. How come everybody I talk to who is a major fan of Devil May Cry sees virtually no difference in the action, but those on the internet seem to nitpick at everything.
So yes Evan make the emo dante joke. Cater to the ignorant and the whiny who won't even wait until reviews start to come in before they swear off the game. FYI they've already shown gameplay with Dante shooting his pistols so they are not lacking from the game. Maybe they're not focusing on it for pictures since guns are basically just a way to keep combos from going down.
