EA Sports' decision to indefinitely delay NBA Elite 11 doesn't affect plans for the mobile version of the game. It will arrive later this month for iPhone and iPod Touch, and will take advantage of the iPhone 4's high-quality display.

A news release issued yesterday said NBA Elite 11 will feature unlockable legends such as Darryl Dawkins and Magic Johnson, and a three-point shootout mode that is new to this year's game. (NBA Live 10 was published for the iPhone and iPod touch last year.)

ESPN's well regarded booth trio of Mike Breen, Mark Jackson and Jeff Van Gundy, who were due to appear in the console NBA Elite 11, instead make their debut in this game.

A price and specific release date were not mentioned in EA's statement. (Last year's NBA Live is currently $6.99 on the App Store.) No mention was made of an iPad version.
