We've had folks coming and going all week at the house. Checking out how we can make the place look nicer insider, doing appraisals, painting the house, staining the deck, laying down a new backyard. AND we're still fostering the incredible adorable 1-year-old Neapolitan Mastiff. Of course we have the three other dogs as well.
It's CRAZY! We could be a sitcom, or a Steve Martin movie.
All of this is in preparation for us to sell the house and move. Trish and I both grew up living all over the place, never staying put for more than three or four years. It's hard, suddenly, to stop that and grow roots. We want to be like the potted plant in The Professional *waves hand under plant* no roots!
So we're prepping to put our home on the market. That means lots of minor little touch ups, packing up about half of our stuff to move to a storage facility and starting to hunt around for a new home.
Right now we're sort of thinking we're going to stay in the area because we both love Colorado so much. But we've also looked at the northeast, places like Massachusetts, Rhode Island, even New York.
I figure wherever we land, we can maybe hold out there for another 8 years or so, until Tristan graduates from high school... and then we're off!!! Life, the grand adventure.
