Around twelve months ago, mixed martial arts fighter Jamie Varner suffered a major injury, breaking the metacarpal bone in his hand. His doctor's advice? Play some video games.
Because the constant movement of his fingers and hands would strengthen the bone, and thus aid in his recovery, Varner was told to go home and play on his 360.
With his console on loan to a friend, he eventually had to go get it back, and later grabbed a copy of Modern Warfare 2, and has "been on that non-stop pretty much".

Varner credits the game-playing, and his doctor's advice, with his full recovery, and will be back in the Octagon this Sunday.
