Tomb Raider and Star Wars porting studio Aspyr appears to have quietly placed store pages for both Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War on the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop today, when no such versions had previously been announced. They’ll both be out on September 30. Neat!
A Reddit user spotted it first, and we confirmed it by checking the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop:

And halfway through the writing of this piece, Aspyr dropped a short trailer:
Base price for Shadow of Mordor is $20 and Shadow of War is $50, but there’s a bundle available also to get both games for $70. However, for the next two weeks, all of this is on sale: Shadow of Mordor is only $10, Shadow of War is only $25, and both games together are $35. This is, uh, still a little pricey given how often these go on sale on Steam, but that’s how it goes sometimes. Both games include their expansion/Season Pass content baked in.
Shadow of Mordor came out over a decade ago, in 2014, and Shadow of War was a 2017 game: both have been on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, and both were widely acclaimed by critics and fans. The centerpiece of both games was the Nemesis system, via which enemies encountered by the player can be tracked, become stronger between encounters, and remember their battles, reacting to the player’s tactics according to how things went the last time.
This marks the first time either game has been on a Nintendo system, and a port like this has been something fans have been asking about for years. Congrats to this person, specifically.
