Marvel Pinball Celebrates 50 Years of the Fantastic Four

The family that stays together for 50 years plays pinball together as well. Zen Studios adds to its highly successful Marvel Pinball series with a Fantastic Four table featuring Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Thing, and...wait, where's Spider-Man?

I guess a product celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Fantastic Four needs to stick with the original team. It's a callback to the happier days, before they exchanged their blue outfits for white ones and swapped out the fire starter with the webslinger.

That doesn't mean the Fantastic Four pinball table will be without its fair share of villains. Doctor Doom shows up, of course, as does Super-Skrull, Mole Man, and the Fantastic Four's most powerful enemy: H.E.R.B.I.E. the robot. Galactus makes an appearance as well.

The four become one once more on May 17 in Zen's standalone Marvel Pinball for the PlayStation Network and May 18 within Xbox Live Arcade's Pinball FX 2.

Looks okay; I have the other Marvel tables on my 360, so this will probably join them.

What would REALLY be nice is if this could be done on Steam a standalone PC release (yeah, dreaming). On my MAME-style cab (still in progress, but fully playable) I have a number of pins, including the old Pro Pinball tables, Microsoft Pinball Arcade, Visual Pinball and Future Pinball, all set up to play nice with my Tankstick (it has 2 flipper buttons on each side, and I use the right joystick to simulate the plunger).

This would be a nice addition to that group.
