The Colorado Rapids, the state's soccer team, plan to host a Guitar Hero Tournament during an upcoming half-time show.
The first 50 local gamers who sign up for the tournament will get a chance to play in front of a panel of "celebrity judges" on June 21 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, before the day's soccer game, versus the Houston Dynamo, kick off.
The top two contestants will then get a chance to take the field at the half time of the Rapids game and try to melt each other's faces on the stadium's 52-foot RapidsVision screen. The audience will then select the winner, who will get some goodies from the Rapids and Comcast Cable.
