Apple just unveiled a series of new products coming out later this month. Most are just the expected refreshes to existing product line, like a new Apple Watch and the iPhone 18. The thing that came as the biggest surprise was the iPhone Duo, a foldable iPhone that opens up like a book to reveal a much larger tablet-like screen on the inside. Having the flexibility to switch between either small or large screen depending on the task at hand is certainly appealing, but what might make you a little more hesitant to try it out is the price.
The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 for its lowest capacity option of 256GB. That’s a tall order just to have access to a phone screen and tablet screen together. But do you know there is a another, much more affordable way to have access to both a phone screen and a tablet screen? It’s by owning both a phone and tablet. You can opt to get yourself an Apple iPad Air that is right now on sale for 13% off. Normally, you’d find this selling for $749, but the deal ends up taking the price down to just $649. That’s a savings of $100.
More importantly, that’s a savings of $1,350 when you compare that to having bought the iPhone Duo instead. Just use your current iPhone which I’m sure is till fine in unison with an iPad. You’ll be okay using two separate devices when you know you’ve stopped yourself from spending unnecessary cash in the quadruple digits.
