Lord of the Rings Online Goes Free

Starting this fall Turbine’s Lord of the Rings Online will be free to play. The game will make its money by selling thousands of “convenience” items as well as expansion packs, premium content, additional character slots, potions and character customization. Beta kicks off on June 16.
