There are bullet holes on the dice, Marcus and Dom figurines on the board and up to four people around the table, playing co-operatively in Gears of War: The Board Game.
Think you can't make a game out of a hit Xbox 360 cover-based shooter?
You can, and Fantasy Flight Games was at the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle this weekend to prove it. In this video, Bryan from Fantasy Flight shows me how the game is played and gamely handles my needling him about the names of the characters. Apologies for some of the glare issues that made some of the cards hard to read, but Bryan does a superb job explaining how the game plays.
The Gears game was sold in limited quantities at PAX. It will go on sale widely in a week or two for $70, just in time for the Xbox 360 release of Gears of War 3.
