After reports began circulating in March that Netflix could be putting together some kind of live concert tour based on its animated musical hit KPop Demon Hunters, the streaming service company has made it official at Netflix Upfront.

The announcement didn’t include much in the way of details, but the show will be produced by Netflix and live entertainment company AEG Presents.

“Obviously, nothing has captured the world, the world’s attention quite like KPop Demon Hunters‘” Netflix president of ad sales Amy Reinhard said to the Upfront audience [via Variety]. “There were sing-a-longs, Halloween costumes, shoutouts at the U.S. Open and Buckingham Palace. There was even a 25% spike in flights booked to Korea. And today, KPop Demon Hunters is still the most popular film on Netflix, and we’re really excited to announce that next year, in partnership with AEG Presents, we’re going to keep that momentum going with our very first world concert tour. The live tour is going to bring fans even closer to the characters and the music that they love, and of course, we want you to be a part of that. We’ll have more information to share about the cities later this year, so stay tuned.”

For the moment, we still don’t know much about the show, beyond the fact that it will bring elements from the movie “to life.” That could mean anything, whether it be some kind of stage show similar to Disney on Ice, or a more straightforward digital concert like something you see for characters like Hatsune Miku. For the moment, there’s no word on whether Ejae, Rei Ami, and Audrey Nuna, the vocalists behind the titular demon-slaying idols, will take part in the show. However, it would be nice to hear them sing something other than “Golden” live.

Dates and cities will be announced at a later date, but Netflix has set up a website for folks to sign up for details as they come.

This announcement comes just two months after Netflix signed a deal with directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans for a “multiyear” partnership to produce a sequel to the original film, which is currently the most-streamed film on Netflix.
