While the change to regular Xbox 360 cover art was a slight one, Microsoft has something a little more drastic in mind for Kinect games: purple boxes.

Yes, breaking from a tradition that dates back to the launch of the original Xbox, Kinect titles won’t ship in Microsoft’s trademark green DVD case. They’ll instead ship in this rather pungent shade of purple (complete with a severe over-use of Kinect branding). Now, I don’t know how they arrived at purple, but when I see it I think of chocolate or pimps, not family friendly entertainment.
