Next week Rock Band fans can hold hands and watch the sunrise from the bottom of the sea as song number 2,000 hits the Rock Band Store, but first, are you experienced?
Have you ever been experienced? Well I have, at least enough to know that Jimi Hendrix classic "Are You Experienced?" is the song Harmonix has chosen to represent the 2,000th track available for the Rock Band franchise. The track comes to Rock Band next week as part of a collection of live and studio tracks from The Jimi Hendrix Experience's first album. Are You Experienced will be available as a special Rock Band album download on October 12.

Now, with the release of our 2,000th song, we are reaffirming our commitment to present new music every week – and with the new features in Rock Band 3, there will be more ways than ever to experience it."
The 2,000 song milestone comes a few weeks ahead of the release of Rock Band 3, which adds another 83 tracks to the mix.
